Legacy Rosary™ came about as a project for a class we took with the Veritatis Splendor Institute in the Diocese of Rapid City and has grown into a passion for us. It grew out of another prompting of the Holy Spirit back in 2020 which developed into what was called the Pray the Rosary Campaign.
Planting of the Mustard Seed
“It is the smallest of all the seeds, yet when full-grown it is the largest of plants. It becomes a large bush, and the ‘birds of the sky come and dwell in its branches.’” Matthew 13:32
On August 6, 2020 the Pray the Rosary Campaign began. As was stated then, we became a sower and we planted a mustard seed. We didn’t know what would happen but we tried to nurture it and provide ways for the seed to grow. Little did we expect that in ten days it would grow from one seed to forty nine thousand two hundred and fifteen.
Friends, when it comes to honoring and glorifying God, do not let anyone ever say that YOU cannot do something or what YOU do isn’t important. This all started because I said “YES.” This wasn’t planned. This wasn’t thought out for days, weeks or months. But once the decision was made, and we allowed them (Jesus and His Blessed Mother) to work in and through us, we believed this could be successful. We didn’t know how it would happen but it didn’t take long to find out. This proved to us that anything was and is possible with God.
Many people desire to leave a legacy when they pass away. Usually it has to do with their job or career or who they were as a person. Have you ever thought about leaving your spiritual and prayer life as a legacy to your family and friends?
That’s where Legacy Rosary™ comes in
Here at Legacy Rosary™ we want to take the seed (which someone in your life planted for you); the seed which you nurtured and grew; and give you an opportunity to pass this gift (your legacy) on to your own family and friends.
If I had a chance to listen… to hear… or to pray the rosary again with my parents or grandparents, I would without hesitation. For me the chance has passed; but maybe not for you and your family.
Legacy Rosary™ will record you praying the rosary and create an audio file (e.g. mp3) and save it to a USB Flash Drive for you to present to your family as a timeless gift. Included will be a “How to Pray the Rosary” Guide, a rosary (thumb or decade) and a photo of the individual(s) who prayed this rosary – all packaged in a nice little gift box.
Become a Sower…
On the day the Pray the Rosary Campaign started, the Mass reading was from the Second Letter of Saint Paul to the Corinthians (9:6-10). “Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.” This verse is what our hope for this project is now. You and I are the sowers. Let us all be bountiful sowers and in turn reap bountifully.
We do not know how successful this will be, but we know He will take our five loaves and two fishes and multiply them untold times for the benefit of many. We just have to do the first part; provide Him the bread and fish. He will in turn provide you and your family blessings of untold measure.
Our prayer is simply “may this gift abundantly bless you and those you share it with.” We thank you for what you will give because “by giving you will receive.” May what you give be multiplied tenfold.
Take the seed now in your possession and plant it. Nurture it. Provide for it. And then… watch it grow!
